Making PAN African Parliaments Relevant to African Leaders.

Pan African Parliament emerged when African countries succumbed to international pressure in rejecting Gaddafi’s, proposed United States Of Africa (USA) a dreamed nation the European community felt threatened by and a proposition that stared up uncontrollable appetite which resulted to the plotting and killing of of the Libyan leaders.

Prior to the systematic plotting of the killing of Mohomman Gadadfi, African leaders draw from the proposed dream nations chatter – (aims and objectives) to create a different New body under the umbrella of the continent’s rebranded Union formally known as OAU TO AU, to perform the task that would have been functional under US of Africa, through its collective constituted parliament.

Now, under the newly formed Pan African Parliament (PAP), the continent in its internal restructuring drive agreed to report its internal parliament activities to the continent for collective evaluation and proffering measure.

However, it is said that since the inception of the body, only South Africa and perhaps Kenya, has, reported to the body, making it’s function useless to the people and the continent’s development drive -fundamentally, useless.

Since, many African countries have seen changes in leadership, yet non of these leaders seem to acknowledge their allegiance to PAP less reporting to it.

Nigerians elected General Buhari to lead the country believing the elected leader to be incorruptible with all the values to pursue and apply right mechanism in ensuring result orienting leadership for the change promised through the umbrella party APC.

Nigerians will do well by being worry and asking its newly elected leader President Mohammedu Buhari questions, about what will be his position and involvements concerning aligning Nigerian parliament with the functions and demands of its continental affiliate body, PAN AFRICAN PARLIAMENTS.

It will also be of essence for Nigerians to seat up and make demands that will lead to measures that will address the unaccountability of out parliament, that redress and or limitations to the excesses of our parliamentarians may be curtailed.
